The second Afghanistan-EU Special Working Group meeting on Human Rights, Good Governance& Migration starts in Kabul

 

Kabul- the second Afghanistan-EU Special Working Group meeting on Human Rights, Good Governance& Migration was opened by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan H.E Salahuddin Rabbani on Thursday, May 09, 2019.

In his opening remarks Foreign Minister Rabbani said: “For settling down decades of conflict in Afghanistan, there is a need to respect the fundamental rights of all citizens, honor social justice and implement the rule of in the peace process,”

H.E Rabbani described the Human Rights Dialogue as a key element in relations between Afghanistan and the European Union.

This meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan with the participation of the Her Excellency Rula Ghani, the First Lady, cabinet members, Ms. Paola Pampaloni, the Deputy Managing Director of Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service.

Following the speeches delivered by the First Lady, Rula Ghani, and Ms. Pampaloni, the meeting’ working groups started the discussion on Human Rights, Good Governance and Immigration.
